  1. I recommend this book for people who are just starting out.This book is very informative and it walks you through day by day for 30 days so you can’t fail it’s a really good read.

  2. This book has changed my life. I have ulcerative colitis, and have been on prednisone for most of 19 years. During my last flareup I got frustrated with the conventional treatment – prednisone – which has too many side effects to list here. I researched other options, and found many physicians who advocate a vegan diet for u.c. I decided to to with this book’s program, and I’m now in remission, off of prednisone, and my doctor is thrilled. My blood pressure is also now normal, which is my warning for those who follow this book. As you improve your eating habits and get rid of meat, your weight and blood pressure naturally drop. If you don’t monitor your b.p., it can get dangerously low and cause you to pass out. I expect this could also happen to those with diabetes. Don’t stop meds without your doctor’s okay, but be sure to monitor your levels so that you are not taking too much of anything. And believe it or not, you can live without dairy – soy milk is actually good, although I haven’t found a good cheese yet. And you save a lot of money on meds, drive-through burgers, etc. I can’t recommend this book highly enough!
