Why is there 600mg of sodium ? Heart Healthy ? great for high BP !

A mild curry rice with some nice sweetness from raisins and some crunch from almonds. Several green peas and dried carrots also visible. Rice has a nice chewy texture, love the chewy bits of wild rice. Perfect amount of sodium for me – 26% of your daily recommended in one cup. But if this is a meal, that seems perfectly acceptable.
Nice portion size too: about two cups’ worth.
VERY happy to have a easy meal/snack like this that doesn’t rely on beans but rather a starch. I wish there were more instant rice/grain pilafs like this around!
Will order again.

I like this one, although his split pea soup and the minestrone is better.

This is one of my favorite McDougall soups. It taste great. Really filling. I never seem to tire of it. Also, smells wonderful. I have it on auto ship. The flavors are so nice as the weather is getting cooler.

This meal is tasty, filling and quite healthy. The berries really compliment the crunchy spice of the rice. HOWEVER, it is not as easy to take this “on-the-go” as you might think. The water needs to be boiling BEFORE it’s added to the pilaf, so you need another container to heat the water in. Not always easy to find when you’re taking this meal to go. I have found it works well to use hot water from a water cooler or coffee pot.
